QUEER FAME & CREATIVITY

At the inaugural Creative Industries Festival, our panel of queer creatives will celebrate queer contributions to the creative industries, past and present, discussing the role of queerness in celebrity culture, and creativity and invention as queer survivalist politics. We will debate the passage of trends from queer subcultures into the mainstream, and moments of queer resistance and joy.

Fine Artist whose work explores ideas of celebrity and camp. He trained at the Royal College of Art, held a residency at the prestigious FAAP arts institute in SaoPaulo, Brazil, and has taught both fine art and art history at Slade School of Fine Art, Central St Martins, University of Brighton, Teeside University, Hollins University and Oxford Brookes University.
